Our net rate offer includes:

• Unlimited mileage (except group I & J: limited 200 km per day)
• Airport taxes
• Basic insurance (CDW, TP)
• Tax (I.V.A)

Sol Mar accepts all major credit cards such as Amex, Visa, Diners, etc. On arrival payments have to be done with CREDIT CARD. Cash is not accepted!

The insurance excludes:

• Lost or damaged keys, punctures, damages to tyres & wheels, glasses.
  • Sol Mar offers coverage of tyres, glasses and clutch for 4€ per day tax included. This is optional and will be offered to the customer on arrival.
• Undercarriage & interior damages, traffic fines and non accidental breakdowns are neither covered.

Driver licence::

Minimum driver's age is 21 years with a current original driving licence for at least 3 years.
Drivers younger than 25 years old or with a driving licence between 1 and 4 years, must pay an extra of 2 € per day, maximum 14 € per rental.

Fuel policy:

Sol Mar deliveries all cars with a certain amount of fuel. The car must be returned with the same fuel level. Solmar will take note of the client’s credit card details as a guarantee and will not make any charge unless the car is returned with less amount of fuel. In these cases, a fee of 20€ (tax inc.) will be applied as a refuelling service.

Rental length:

Sol Mar allows bookings to have a rental length of max 28 days. If a customer wishes a longer rental, the booking has to be divided into two (or more) bookings, and these needs to be done at the same time, so that he ensures the vehicle availability. I kindly ask you to note that the pick up date of each rental determines the rental price.

Extras

• One way rentals

  One way rentals are available between all Sol Mar locations for the car groups A to E. Please find enclosed the corresponding charges.

  The location codes are:
  - AE/AV/SJ/DT: Alicante, Valencia San Javier Airports and Downtown locations
  - BC/GE : Barcelona and Gerona Airport
  - SG: Santiago Airport
  
  All one ways will be charged whichever the length of the rental.

• Baby & booster seats:

  Seats have to be pre-booked. They are available for 3.5 € per day (tax included). The maximum charge will be 42 €.
  Sol Mar does not have seats for babies between 0 and 9 month!

• GPS:

  This needs to be requested in advanced. The price is 7€/day. A credit card will be requested in order to ensure the guarantee of 250€. No charge will be done, unless the GPS is not returned in the same conditions.

• Excess:

  Solmar re serves the right to make effective an excess in any of its locations, but it is mandatory for Barcelona and Santiago Airport.
  
  The client’s credit card details will be noted down as a guarantee, and no charge will be done unless the car is not returned in the same conditions. The client can waive this charge applying locally the SCDW:
  
  From Gr. A to Gr. E9 there is an excess of 550 € or 10 €/day (vat inc)
  From Gr. F to Gr. M there is an excess of 700 €or 15 € per day. (vat inc)

• Snow chains:

  This needs to be requested in advance.
  The price: 6 €, maximum 35 € per rental.

• Border exit:

  It is possible to drive the car to Andorra, France & Portugal. This will be allowed only from the following Solmar Locations: From Barcelona and Gerona to France and from Santiago de Compostela to Santiago. To extend the insurance cover 10€ per day (tax included) have to be paid on arrival.

• Additional driver:

  Additional drivers can be added to the contract for an extra charge of 3.5 €/day/driver (tax included).

• Night handling:

  SolCarHire offers out of hours service (22:00 to 08:00.) at all airport locations. Those bookings need to have a valid flight number. An extra charge of 20 € (tax included) will be charged on pick up to the customer.

• Late return fee:

  Sol Mar will apply this fee to any customer who returns the vehicle out of the agreed drop off date. In these cases a fee of 20€ (tax inc) plus the amount of days over.

• Early return:

  If the car is returned before the agreed drop off date, no refund will be done of the unused rental days. Only the early returns due to a major reason will be considered.
